Workshops Available With Tyree:
Performance: This workshop covers many aspects of being a live performer / recording artist. I developed these workshops in 1999 and with a little change here and there it is as relevant as it ever was. I prefer groups of no more than 10 and there is a performance organised by two groups of five at a later date, organised by the participants and employing the skills I have taught to both produce and play a successful (earn your money back and have a healthy audience) gig. We will look at matters such as
* The right to perform
* Post performance Blues ( what now??)
* Sound and Soundchecking
* promoting your act / gig
* Whats your Price?
* Performance itself, who you are and how
This workshop takes around 4 - 5 hours and is a proven winner. I started it as part of the Henrietta Ford Stagecoach in 1999-2000 and took it first to 4 Auckland schools as a trial...we barnstormed and put 1,000 people in the ASB Theatre at the Aotea centre at the end gig. I then developed it forward to suit adults and each workshop has been a performance highlight for it's participants. I will travel for groups who request the workshops out of Wellington. Songwriting:
Another opportunity to get fresh with a bunch of new tools and considerations for succesful songwriting. This workshop is lyrics based, usually I find people have the music and struggle with the message. One 5 hour day out of your life and you will have an improved understanding of lyrics and be writing them more confidently and throwing out whats not right with joy... because it will just get easier.
